Cancellation Policy

Payment is required before any booking or heliflight is confirmed unless otherwise stated by email. When a booking or heliflight has been confirmed it is deemed that the person making payment and all passengers or persons concerned have all read understand and agree to the Helispecs Terms and Conditions for heliflights.This paragraph is fundamental to Helispecs accepting payment to confirm the booking or heliflight.
All heliflights/tours are sold on a per seat basis. All flights are confirmed with a minimum of 2 passengers unless otherwise stated.Single passengers are welcome; however the flight is not confirmed until a second passenger is travelling.
Information Required ? Preferred date of Heliflight ? Passenger Full names contact email address & phone numbers ( Mobile # is best option for contact ) ? Passenger?s weight ? Any special request or requirements ? Intended Payment method ? credit card details cash voucher. Disable Passengers Helispecs welcomes and actively encourages disable passengers. Unfortunately due to some safety regulations or logistical issues this may not always be possible. Helispecs will at all times endeavor to accommodate all passengers. Please contact us and discuss options with our staff beforehand if you think there may be issues relating to any disabled passengers and if possible Helispecs will find a solution to address the needs of these person/s. Helispecs staff will make the final decisions on whether a passenger will be able to fly considering each individual case based on safety. Cancellation Policy The following cancellation policies apply to bookings with Helispecs. Cancellation within 24hrs of flight departure time- 20% of flight/tour cost. For group bookings of 10 or more passengers a cancellation charge may apply.
Any flight cancelled by Helispecs for any reason will not incur a cancellation charge and all endeavors will be made to re-schedule the flight to another time to suit the guest's availability or a 100% refund is offered. Helispecs will not be held liable for costs associated with airfares accommodation or anything else due to helicopter flights which do not proceed as booked. Passenger Weight requirements & Restriction It is a Civil Aviation Regulation that all passengers must be weighed before each flight; this is also required for the correct loading of the helicopter. Please inform us at the time of booking of all passengers weights. Should a client advise a passenger weight and the variance exceeds more than 10% Helispecs reserves the right to an additional charge or to cancel the entire flight if this weight discrepancy affects the loading of the aircraft. In this situation no refund will apply. Please note: The maximum allowable individual passenger weight in our helicopters is 136kg No Show Policy A booking will be deemed invalid if either notice of cancellation is not received and confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the appointment time or if the passenger(s) fail(s) to arrive at the nominated time and date. If the flight is booked through a third party the third party will be contacted immediately in writing to advise of the no-show and of applicable charges. Refusal to Carry Helispecs reserves the right to refuse the carriage of any passengers/persons who we believe to be intoxicated drug affected or abusive. This policy is for the safety and comfort of the passenger concerned other passengers Helispecs staff and company aircraft. Helispecs staff will have the final decision on any passenger/person carriage in our company aircraft. Gift Vouchers ? Bookings are essential to redeem your certificate. ? A gift voucher will be deemed void if either the voucher is tampered with notice of cancellation is not received at least 48 hours prior to the appointment time or the holder of the voucher fails to arrive at the booked time. ? Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. ? Gift certificates are non refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Weather In the interest of safety all our flights operate weather pending. Flights will only be restricted when weather conditions such as low cloud fog gusty winds or electrical storms are present in the area of the flight path. Flights can still operate in wet weather as visibility may still be good. At Helispecs we always strive for customer satisfaction so we are happy to reschedule your flight at anytime. Helispecs reserves the right to vary flights due to weather conditions or other operational considerations. Where possible these flight variations will be relayed to the passengers before the flight commences. Should guests wish to cancel their flight because of wet weather but the flight can operate safely and the visibility is good a 100% cancellation fee will apply. Any flight cancelled due to weather considerations by Helispecs will not incur a cancellation charge and all endeavors will be made to re-schedule the flight at another time to suit the guest?s availability or for the guest to take the option of a 100% refund. Passenger Illness We understand that the unfortunate situation of guest illness does occasionally occur and all efforts will be made to reschedule the guest to an alternate day subject to availability. However if cancellation due to illness is made on the day of the tour and the guest is unable to reschedule to another time no refund will be given. Naturally if cancellation is made by the guest with more than 24 hours notice no cancellation charge applies.
