With over 40 hectares of stunning vines, rolling clad hills and breathtaking lakeside views, Knotting Hill Estate is an ideal winery to visit and capture the beauty of the region while tasting premium wines.In 1998 the Gould Family began planting the vines we see today and with their extensive farming background oversaw all vineyard preparations. These preparations also included the creation of a massive 5.5 Ha dam to irrigate the extensive property, also providing a stunning lakeside view from the newly erected cellar door.
The business is very much a family affair and the results of their hard work are evident in everything about the property. The Cellar Door which opened early November 2005 is the latest addition to the property and is a contemporary Australian design of lime stone, polished concrete flooring with a Jarrah/Mari wood carved wine bar. There is a large open planned room which leads out onto a lakeside decking area, perfect for summer days. The gardens surrounding the building also provide great photographic opportunities!
