Rotary Park

At the northern entrance to Margaret River is this pleasant, shady park featuring relics such as a timber-hauling whim and a 70-year-old steam engine named Kate.

Mammoth Cave

This cave, 21 kilometres south of Margaret River, was first recorded in 1850, later explored in 1895 and opened in 1904. At Lake Cave, a further three kilometres south, an interpretive centre has been built to educate visitors and describe the region's fascinating limestone caves.

Margaret River Mouth

Ten kilometres west of the town, visitors can experience stunning views of Margaret River as it sweeps gracefully down to the Indian Ocean.

Prevelly Park

This popular location opens up panoramic views of some of the world's most powerful surf and of devotees from all over the world chasing the thrill of riding it's famous waves.

Calgardup Beach, Redgate

It was from here, seven kilometres south of Gnarabup Beach, that Grace Bussell and Sam Isaacs rode on horseback into the surf to rescue survivors of the wrecked ship "Georgette" in 1876.

Boranup Forest

One of the delights of Caves Road is this splendid drive south from Margaret River through the scenic karri forest.

St Thomas More Catholic Church

In Mitchell Street, Margaret River, this community-built rammed-earth church features local timber construction and outstanding leadlight and stained-glass windows.

Ellensbrook Homestead

This renovated National Trust property was once the home of Alfred and Ellen Bussell, the district's first pioneers.
