Geographe Bay Tourism is the official accredited Local Tourism Association responsible for marketing the Geographe Bay and Margaret River Wine Region in Western Australia. This area includes Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Cowaramup, Margaret River and surrounds. We are a member based not for profit association representing over 400 member businesses. Our organisation provides support and guidance to Inbound Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Retail Travel Agents and Media. We have been an active member of ATEC (Australian Tourism Export Council) for many years, attend ATE annually, and work closely with Tourism WA and Tourism Australia to showcase the best our region has to offer. On a local level we manage the ground handling arrangements at Busselton Regional Airport and consistently work towards more flight services and easier overall access to our region.

Did you know that our region has the largest number of beds available in regional Western Australia outside of Perth – over 13,000!
Geographe Bay and Margaret River Region is the events capital of WA - including international sporting events such as Ironman WA (December) and the Busselton Jetty Swim (February). Concerts, music festivals, wine and food festivals and international film festivals also take place throughout the year during which times it is not uncommon for the region to be at very high occupancy hence the importance of advance bookings.
Busselton Airport (BQB) is the aviation gateway to the south west part of Western Australia. Geographe Bay Tourism is a stakeholder with the City of Busselton in managing Busselton Regional Airport. Skywest Airlines operates twice weekly services from Perth (PER) – Busselton (BQB) – Albany (ALH) and return. These flights can also be booked via a codeshare arrangement with Virgin Australia Airlines. Several Charter companies operate flights to/from Busselton Airport to/from Perth and beyond. Busselton and Dunsborough Visitor Centres (ie. Tourist Information Centres) are also managed by Geographe Bay Tourism. For travel trade contacts we can assist with FIT and Group flight, touring and transport arrangements/recommendations, itinerary planning and ideas, recommendations for suitable accommodation, familiarisation tours, meetings and incentives and event information. We also provide an online and in-store booking service for the public. We are available to support your clients when they are travelling in our region in terms of recommendations for local doctors, pharmacies, directions etc. Please ask us any question you like about our region as we live here, have fantastic contacts and are of course the local experts!
Geographe Bay Tourism also manages two of South West Western Australia’s most famous tourist attractions – Ngilgi Cave, Yallingup and Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, Dunsborough.
Marvel Mother Nature’s beauty and power as you tour Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. With only 59 steps it is Australia’s most accessible Lighthouse. Wind your way to the top of the tower, unveiling breathtaking views across the Indian Ocean and the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. From the balcony, glimpse the local fur seal colony basking in the sun, or spot whales and their young frolicking in the waters below during the annual migratory period, from September to December. Tours operate seven days a week. Café, retail shop, toilets, maritime museum on-site. Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is located at the start of the world famous Cape to Cape track. Various walking tours are available.

Ngilgi Cave (formerly known as Yallingup Cave) is one of Australia’s most attractive caves and welcomes more visitors per year than any other Cave in Western Australia. There is a café, walk trails, playground, barbecues, toilets and a retail shop on site. Ngilgi Show Cave Tours are semi-guided and operate seven days a week.
Ngilgi Cave Adventure Tours include the wildest and most beautiful parts of Ngilgi Cave. Not just a journey underground, Ngilgi Cave offers a variety of adventure tour options suitable for families, thrill seekers and nature lovers that cater to different fitness levels.
